Mr. Rocha is responsible for identifying, analyzing and structuring Quadratic's emerging markets investments across asset classes. Previously, he worked at Goldman Sachs as an Interest Rates and Foreign Exchange Strategist, responsible for tactical idea generation for institutional clients, including banks, corporations, hedge funds, asset managers, and sovereigns. Mr. Rocha has worked in both Brazil and the U.S.

He holds a B.S. magna cum laude in Electrical Engineering from Yale University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi.

Susanna Jacob

Quantitative Strategist

​Susanna began her career in finance at Goldman Sachs, where she and Nancy worked together for five years. Prior to joining Quadratic, Susanna worked at BlackRock for six and half years, at Citadel for three years, and at Goldman Sachs. In her role as a senior trader at BlackRock, she was responsible for trading in the Scientific Active Equity (SAE) and Global Macro (GMSG) funds. Susanna has extensive programming experience in Matlab, Python, and other languages as well as deep knowledge of market microstructure and algorithmic models. She has experience working with high frequency data, back-testing, and time series analysis. She was one of the earliest members of the core team that pioneered the efforts in Algorithmic Trading at Goldman Sachs such as developing the option delta hedging algorithm. She was also instrumental in the development of an in-house execution services platform to trade an options book within Citadel’s L/S derivatives unit and Implement Short Horizon Alpha Insights. Susanna holds an M.B.A. in Finance, from New York University. She also holds a B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) in Instrumentation Technology from University Of Mysore (India), where she passed with honors and was ranked 2nd in the University.

Ms. Jacob is responsible for bottom up quantitative modelling and insights.  Before joining Quadratic, Ms. Jacob worked at BlackRock for six and half years as a senior trader responsible for trading in the Scientific Active Equity (SAE) and Global Macro (GMSG) funds.  Before her time at BlackRock, Ms. Jacob spent three years at Citadel, where she was instrumental in the development of an in-house execution services platform trading options within Citadel’s long/short derivatives unit. Ms. Jacob spent five years at Goldman Sachs, working alongside Nancy Davis. She helped pioneer Goldman’s algorithmic trading efforts.

Ms. Jacob holds an M.B.A. in Finance, from New York University. She also holds a B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) in Instrumentation Technology from University Of Mysore (India), where she passed with honors and was ranked 2nd in the University.

Nancy Davis

Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer

Nancy Davis is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Quadratic Capital. Nancy began her career at Goldman Sachs and spent ten years at the firm, seven in the proprietary trading group. In 2003, Nancy became Head of Credit, Derivatives, and OTC Trading for Goldman’s proprietary group. During her time at Goldman, she managed one of the largest buy side option portfolios. Nancy resigned from Goldman in January 2008 to join Highbridge as a Portfolio Manager. At Highbridge, Nancy managed $500 million of capital in her derivatives-only portfolio. Prior to founding Quadratic, she served as the Director of Derivatives across asset classes at Alliance Bernstein. Nancy holds a B.A. magna cum laude in Economics from George Washington University where she was a recipient of the Presidential Academic Scholarship.

Ms. Davis founded Quadratic Capital Management in 2013. She began her career at Goldman Sachs where she spent ten years, the last seven at the proprietary trading group where she became Head of Credit, Derivatives and OTC Trading. Prior to starting Quadratic, she served as a portfolio manager at Highbridge where she managed $500 million of capital in a derivatives-only portfolio. She later served in a senior executive role at AllianceBernstein.

Ms. Davis writes and speaks frequently about financial topics and world markets. She has been published in Financial News, Absolute Return and Institutional Investor and has contributed papers to two books. She has been interviewed by The Economist, The Financial Times, New York Magazine and Le Figaro. Ms. Davis is a board member of the International Partners Committee and was a keynote speaker in China at the Asset Management Association's annual conference. Ms. Davis has appeared on CNBC, Reuters, Sina, Bloomberg and MSNBC. In 2014, Nancy was selected by Institutional Investor as a Rising Star of Hedge Funds and recognized by The Hedge Fund Journal as one of "Tomorrow’s Titans." Ms. Davis holds a B.A. magna cum laude in Economics from George Washington University where she was a recipient of the Presidential Academic Scholarship.
